I want to tell you why this is the song of the day.  About two years ago, I started dancing to quell my long streak of staying home every weekend night.  I gave a few ballroom classes a try.  Uhh- no.  A friend then directed me to try some classes at the Albuquerque Dance Club.  “It’s country and swing.  You’ll like learning that stuff.”  So I went over to an ADC function and took a class.  And then I hung around and watched a club dance.  And every once and a while in this dance, a pop song would come on, and couples would do this funky looking slot dance.  It was mesmerizingly cool.  I asked my friend what it was they were doing.  “That’s West Coast Swing.”

Fats forward a few months and many classes later.  I finally get the nerve at a dance to go out and try to dance this crazy cool dance.  And I discover I love it.

Well, somewhere in the early months of learning to dance some West Coast Swing, this song was played, and I loved it.  Over time, I realized, to me, that this is the perfect WCS song.  And not only that, it is just a great song.

Here’s one reason why this song is so cool…

Polished dancers bring out the smoothness and sultriness that the West Coast Swing was intended to display.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
