I was delighted to see my cousin Kevin Scruggs’s company, Bro Corp United, had this video posted on its Facebook timeline today.

Evidently, Terry Bradshaw hosts a show called “Today in America” which is billed as “the first show of its genre… that’s geared towards the educated, affluent viewer… Today in America successfully blends business news stories, lifestyle features and in-depth interviews with doctors, scientists, inventors, business owners, philanthropists and newsmakers from a variety of industries.”

That Bradshaw is doing such a show is pretty cool, but more importantly, that he takes his show to feature Kevin’s little city is equally cool because Kevin’s hometown is where my folks grew up, and its that little corner of Kansas I know a bit and love.

Featured nicely in the segment among other city landmarks is the Burford Theater, which my dad’s dad ran for a long time as and after my pop and his siblings grew up there.

    Pretty cool.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
