    We are a river
that stretches from joy to grief
    from vibrancy to decay
The winds of time blow around us
    and the sun beats down
    For one day we roll
    from morning to night
    from spring to winter
    from north to south
    from summit to sea
    Find the pool
    and circle in the eddy
    Seek the sluice
    And crash against the rocks
    Spring into the sky
    and wrestle
    with the fish and fronds
    and frogs
    And kiss the deer
and the birds and the dogs
    Eat the bank
    and wander in the fields
    Walk the ancient path
    but rush into the plains
and rest in the arms of the lake
    Swell within the storms
and sally from rut and row
and dance with the black sky
    For one day we roll
    from north to south
    from spring to winter
    from morning to night
    from summit to the sea

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
