I spent most of today on the east side of the Sandia mountains with my camera- first at an Enchanted Lens Camera Club meet-up at the Lewis Auto and Toys Museum in Moriarity, where we were able to walk the grounds of the antique car boneyard and photograph whatever to our hearts content. After the museum meet, most of us went to La Hacienda in Moriarity for a Mexican lunch (the shredded steak enchiladas were just fine). My plan was to go on home on a backroad that paralleled I-40 to its south, but taking that road meant I passed by the East Mountain Cowboy Church rodeo arena, which happened to have an event going on that afternoon. I thought about it after I drove past and realized I had no solid plans for the rest of the afternoon. I made a u-turn and went back to the busy arena grounds and shot photos of kids riding horses around barrels and poles, and racing to capture a flag standing in the dirt of coffee can on a barrel, for the rest of the afternoon.

I paused to take a phone photo once of a kid riding by in the arena, and this is what my phone gave me.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
