• Inspiration Alley

I enjoyed a fuzzily lucid dream this morning before reality and the alarm clock screech broke in.

Who knows where these things come from, or why they stay with us.

Still, within my dream I was weighing the merits of a television program named “Inspiration Alley.”

That program name I am sure of.

I can see where the inspiration part comes from, but the alley part threw me off for a bit after I awoke. Alley? But I guess I get it now. The alley part in the name connects the show to small town/rural/Midwest America.

The host of the program would be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Why? Come on. Look at that smile! Look at that confidence!

Participants would meet Dwayne in a small Midwestern town and learn to do less traditional real life chores- kind of like being stand-in “Dirty Jobs” Mike Rowes for the episode. The Rock would introduce them to some challenging task along with a local pro, and then he would cheer them on as they tried to figure out how do that show’s tasks.

And they would all then motorcycle to a next town sometime late in the program.

I tell you- America wants to see this.

I know watching this, I would be inspired. The Rock, on a Hog, cheering on a Regular Joe branding horses.

Get in there, Rock! Help him out!

Crazy dream. But say, that was kinda fun too.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
