• Invasion

It is 9:40 PM in Albuquerque, and reports say that Putin has begun his invasion of the Ukraine.

Under gray clouds and chilly temperatures locally, I know that there is no good that will come out of this for the world. This is a reenactment of a chapter written long ago, in which there is no happy ending. The aggressor has no legitimacy in taking this action. And the world will be scorched and scarred from it.

I hope the world leaders have learned something about dealing with an aggressive bully from history. There must be unity, there must be resolve, there must be fierce resistance, there must be courage.

Because war is not a game, except to those who start it.

But Jesus said “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come (Matthew 24:6).”

    My heart is heavy.

Tonight I will just pray to God the Good Father for peace, and for wisdom among the world leaders, and justice, and for the deliverance of people in that region from this unwarranted aggression and tyranny.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
