Well, it’s been three days now since I have seen the turtledove parents, and talking to Tim this morning, he suspects something spooked the adults and they have abandoned the nest- and the two eggs. It got down to 45 degrees last night, and without cover, I wonder about the viability of the eggs. After three days exposure to raw temperatures, I am doubting that those babies will survive.

I will go home tonight and see if momma and poppa are anywhere around, and if not, put the eggs in a box and bring them in and call the Wildlife Center in the morning.

At least I might get my grill back just in time for warmer temperatures.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
