Today was National Siblings Day on Facebook- or Siblings Day. I don’t know. I didn’t pay attention too well, as I am not hanging on FB much any more. But it was there, and friends had photos of themselves with brothers and sisters quite a bit. That was cool.

I didn’t have much time to find anything to post today, and I didn’t have anything to post on Facebook, so this is a surrogate.

My brother is super funny and super quick-minded.
My sister is as equally fast mentally and she has a super high EQ.

The nice thing is they are also both modest and don’t majorly care what people think of them. They will both do silly, standout, and somewhat stupid things, just because it is entertaining.

And they are both competitive people. They are not big fans of losing. But they are both eager to participate in the contest.

They both laugh easily and smile a lot. I think they are both pretty well-adjusted. And they both like being parents, and seem to do that task pretty well.

They both are analytic, and they got my dad’s engineering mind. That’s pretty cool. They are natural problem solvers, analytic, and flaw-sensitive, able to see and address problems pretty aptly. That’s cool, too.

And they are both good people.

I suppose highlighting a number of their similar good qualities suggests that their nurturing environment was pretty good. I think they’d say that. We have good parents.

But they themselves have, among other things, become good parents. I think, at this place in our lives, that quality is a big deal.

They are different people. But they are still each similarly awesome.

Happy Something Siblings Day, siblings. You guys are the bomb.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
