Today was my parent’s anniversary, and they are an amazing couple. 56. They honor each other and try and help each other. And they try to serve others around them. I hope you had a great day. I love you both more every day.

Yesterday, I talked to a work colleague about having reflux in the past but nothing in a long time. Cue today. Been belching up fireballs all evening. But that’s what a steady diet of soda and green chiles and coffee will do to you.

I put two Taos pueblo photos on Flickr today, including in two photo groups related to New Mexico and the Southwest. Seven people looked at one of them, and four looked at the other. I guess that’s what they get. I guess that’s what I get.

I’ve actually worn glasses instead of contacts to work two days within the last week. That’s a change for me. And that’s how ineffective my ageing contacts have become.

And the urge to dump all social media remains. It’s not like I interact with a bunch of people anyways. I’d miss a few key people because of who they are to me. But even most of those few people, we don’t really communicate much on Facebook. This move would help me in my desire to improve my life focus.

And in the vein, come buy crap from my house as well. No stuff in the home, no materials to distract you from doing. From producing.

I discovered a new musician last week that I really like. He’s an electronica guy, and his “thing” is called Seven Lions. He mixes dub step with synths and unsyncopated beats to create some good music. Here’s a sample. I don’t know what the video is about, but I like the song.

With the demise of my beloved work/life shoes two weeks ago, I went on in to Dillard’s this afternoon to see if I could find their proper replacement. The last three pairs of shoes I’ve bought and used for daily living were moderately priced ECCO shoes that were black leather uppers on black soles with a rounded toe. On average, I wore each pair of those ECCO shoes probably five years each. Today, in Dillard’s, I realized that ECCO had ditched that style of shoe- but their main competitor, Johnson and Murphy, offered a black, round tipped daily shoe like the ECCO’s I loved. Today, I bought a pair of Johnson and Murphy shoes, hoping they too last me another five years.

With the Labor Day weekend here, I’d like to take a day trip to take some photos somewhere. And get some sleep. And get 10 things done at home. One of those three things has to give.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
