This morning, up early and scheming for some photography practice, I texted my sister.

Any interest in going to the Botanic Gardens?

    Yes.

7:40, she arrived with a cup of raspberry mocha for me, and we headed down towards I-25 and I-40 and the Old Town area.

We enjoyed a great morning in the Biopark’s gardens, seeing trees and plants in bloom, enjoying the cool air and the quiet grounds early before it crowded up a bit.

It was a great way to spend a morning.

The Gardens opened at 9 AM, though, so when we arrived at their lot off of Central around 8, we had some time to spend. We parked in the lot and walked for an hour in the neighborhood across from it, at the El Vado Motel, and on a few streets near it.

One particular house we came upon in the neighborhood was nicely maintained, but it’s exterior and grounds were also an enjoyable display of the owners’ curated artistic and eclectic tastes.

I decided to call their style Moohaus.

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
