• About Bruce

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.

Tonight, after taking time to make two loaves of bread, I watched a documentary my friend Gwen Sun loaned me, encouraging me to understand what had happened in a country she loves. The documentary, made by a British journalist named John Pilger, was filmed in 1979, four years after America’s withdrawal from Cambodia allowed...

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written anything, and frankly, I know there have been things to write, but I’ve either been too busy or the topics seem to big to get into a post. Time has flown by, as well. I often get home in the evenings, and once I am there,...

Disregard what the YouTube description says. This is me and my brother getting down at a dance in college. We were a lot shorter then. And my brother really loved long belts. And that was pretty much the only music played out here in Nuevo Mexico, ’cause it was so long ago. We worked...

    Goodbye, old tree.

I don’t know what the deal is, but I am enjoying a round of nausea this afternoon. My guess it is the result of re-upping on a medication, but it could also be my stomach’s unhappy handling of a mug of coffee this morning, or a reaction to something else I have eaten. I...
